Dude. WTF Sony. This is pretty timid. And the new wave of phones that are hitting this fall are are pretty awesome. I just dont see who they would market to. The kids who really like Sony ALREADY have PSPs. Its not pretty enough to market to teenage drama queens. People who are serious about staying connected and being on top of things, probably have a Blackberry and will upgrade to a Blackberry Bold or Thunder in the fall. People who want a phone to brag about constantly, will buy an iphone...

I would love to see a "Minority Report" style dashboard, and motion controlled would only make it that much sweeter. As long as its not something they keep hyping up, and then it comes out no different than the Wii's. Cause that would suck.

PS3 is linux based, b/c the Cell is an asymetrical processor.
You system could be modded-out to run an open linux platform, allowing you to install certain programs that support linux formats. If you can find one for ripping dvds, install it, and make sure your output folder is linked to the correct media-formatted folder---it should work. In theory. Never seen it done. But I have heard of a FEW people running an Open Linux platform on their PS3's.

Today is the first day I have come into work LATE b/c of a video game. While alot of my friends bragged about COD4 and how high they were ranking, I just wasnt into it as much and spent more time on Halo3 and other games. I just felt there was so much more that could have been done with COD4. When I ranked up in multiplayer, I got some cool scopes. Wow, red dots....*sigh*. BUT I got what I wanted in Bad Company.

try updating your codecs in Windows Media Player 11 and the upgrade your codec package on your 360. It'll happen the first time your have a proper connection to your pc's media extender. sorry pal, but i have been ripping from the pc and zune(f*ck ipod) for a while---playlist AND singles. but even so, i perfer streaming anyways, stops me from having to fill up space on my HDD so i can fill it with arcade games and demos and game saves.
if that doesnt work, call the tech suppor...

Um...i dont know if your talking about the PS3 or not.
Yes, you can rip CDs---but thats not the only way to get music. You can use any MP3/MP4 player(including IPOD) to rip pics, vids, and music. You can use your 360 to stream ALL your PC's media content to the TV. You can plug digital cameras directly into the 360, or once its on the PC, bring it thru to the 360. just trying to help ya out.
Actually most of what you just said is total BS.
The other half? About Dev's having to put it in the games? Yeah, thats BS too. The Dev's had nothing to do with XBL's cross-game invites. Its all run from your dashboard/mini-dash(ingame).

@Sephy(above) the 360 supports any USB keyboard as well, but the chat pad the fits onto the controller is much better than any keyboard.
